This is a nice restaurant that can accomdate a large party. The service was top tier. The waitress was very helpful and polite with us. They helped us boxed up our left overs. The wait for our food was kinda long but that was ok because I know that it would be fresh and hot. I would come back again to try out other items on the menu.

One of the best Chinese restaurants I have been to in the bay area. High quality food at reasonable prices. Will definitely come again.

Tonight, we tried the appetizer platter: Fried calamari, fried fish filet, fried green beans, and fried shrimp in salt & pepper. The calamari and fish were tender. The fried shrimp was good also. Though, a tad salty on some pieces. Otherwise, this was very good. The service was good as always. Especially from Ellie, who took care of us even though we arrived 40 minutes before closing.

I popped on a Sunday night, too late to shop and cook. I ordered my Cantonese comfort food version of Surf n Turf: Stone Pot Rock Cod and a rice plate of Beef Stew. Ahhh! It was piping hot, just enough sauce, and the beef stew was tender and flavorful. (Don't you hate it when the tendon is tough?) The stone pot rock cod had a nice ratio of fish to tofu. I enjoyed the whole mushrooms tucked into the bottom of the pot. Yes, the prices are on the high side, but the quality and the amount of food on the plates make it a good value. There were plenty of leftovers for upcoming dinners for this busy week.

I'm pretty sad that Dynasty Pot went out of business, and is now taken over by Hong Kong Chef, which moved over from across the street. To make up for it, the food is very good and delicious, with HUGE portions, and the service is very attentive and friendly. Just pretty sad that there is no dimsum served here, despite being a Cantonese restaurant. Most recently, came here for dinner to celebrate a birthday. We had: Crispy roasted duck Crab Meat and Fish Maw Soup Rock Cod Filet in Stone Pot Lobster E-Fu Noodles Beef ribs The portions are huge. We came as a party of 4, and we took home a bunch of leftovers. They also stored a birthday cake we had in their restaurant fridge. We ended up deciding to take the birthday cake home, even though half of us wanted to eat the birthday cake in the restaurant. Staff was super understanding and accommodating, and SUPER nice. Really enjoy this place!

My family and I have been customers of HK Chef since they were at their previous location across the street. I'm a sucker for Cantonese food. The quality is pretty good. Some dishes are hit or miss, so here are my recs: * Beef Chow Fun (乾炒牛河) * House Special Pan Fried Noodle * Salt and Pepper Tofu * Fu Kein Fried Rice * Spicy Eggplants Claypot * Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings * Fried Scallop Mushroom E-Fu Noodle * Sautéed Tender Greens Service here is really good. All the waitresses are super attentive and friendly. Would recommend for Cantonese dining !

HK Chef moved across the street from its previous location. Workers told me they needed a place with a larger parking lot however they no longer serve Dim Sum because the new location's kitchen is not large enough to handle all of the necessary Dim Sum equipment. Too bad... The new locale concentrates on traditional Cantonese cooking with Clay Pots, Noodles, Seafood, etc... didn't see a banquet menu. We had Lobster E-Fu Noodles with a very sweet flesh (fresh) lobster and addictive buttery lobstery noodles. Very good. Also had Clay Pot Pork and Eggplant with a lot of eggplant. Also tasty. Attentive service.
